Head of Middle Office

The newly created role covers all aspects of back- and mid-office tasks and includes some frontend activities too. The position will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Management of the mid-/backoffice team (2 persons) and ensuring all daily tasks are done with an impeccable level of accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the entire client documentation according to regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for client administration including KYC, CRM, AML, transaction monitoring and reporting
  • Interface to Portfolio Management and CRM System provider (Assetmax)
  • Interface between Backoffice and external Stakeholders such as custodian banks or law firms
  • Main point of contact for internal Compliance
  • Active Relationship Management with stakeholders abroad with respect to bank account relationships
  • Active Support to external stakeholder and client holdings
  • Relationship Management of and support to  3rd party financial intermediaries and external legal professionals 
  • Supervision of internal invoicing process and close collaboration with finance department
  • Responsible for keeping internal processes compliant and up to date

The ideal candidate for this interesting role has the following background: 

  • Apprenticeship in the finance industry and/or Baccalaureate or similar
  • Mandatory experience in the Swiss labour market and knowledge of Swiss compliance regulations
  • 5+ years of experience in back office and/or middle office function (in a bank or a trust company)
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory framework and requirements
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English and German
  • Trustworthy and reliable personality
  • Hands-on self-starter with high level of proactivity
  • Ability to manage and work in a team
  • Organized and autonomous
  • Open and approachable personality
  • Capable of handling ad-hoc issues with adequate flexibility and detail-orientation
  • Interest in working for a smaller company
